David Fei, TIAC President & CEO, led the TIAC delegation to attend the 2014 ACI WAGA held in Seoul on 27 May 2014, receiving the Roll of Excellence award and the 3rd place by size 25 to 40 million passengers in the 2013 ASQ Awards from Angela Gittens, ACI Director General, and ACI representative respectively. TIAC will take 2nd place as its next goal and would like to share the honors with all airport partners.

DACI is not only a platform for global airports, but also a coordinator to collect opinions from airports and represent airports to communicate with ICAO and IATA. David Fei, TIAC President & CEO expressed “TIAC would like to become members of committees under ACI, such as Economics, Airport IT, Environment, and so on.” By attending this event, TIAC exchanged opinions and sought for all potential opportunities with other representatives and participants. Also David Fei was interviewed by a well-known magazine, Flightglobal, sharing his business concept in the aviation industry and promoting Taiwan and TIAC to the world.

DTaiwan Taoyuan International Airport takes the 3rd place for Best Airport by size 25 to 40 million passengers in the 2013 ASQ Awards announced by ACI. Top five airports in this category are Incheon, New Delhi, TTIA, Shanghai Hongqiao, and Mumbai.

DAirports on this roll have been the top 5 in the ASQ survey either in size or region for the past 5 executive years during the 6 years from 2008 to 2013. The other 5 of the 6 inductees this year are Cairo, Sangster, Dubai, Keflavik, and Hyderabad.

DSince the creation of the Roll of Excellence in 2011, 21 airports have been selected, including Incheon, Changi, Pudong, BCIA, HKIA, and Zurich.

DAngela Gittens, ACI Director General expressed congratulations to these 6 inductees on the roll of excellence and gratitude to all members for attending ACI WAGA, hoping that every participant can communicate with each other in this event. ‘Providing services which exceed passenger expectations is the key of airport competitiveness. The 6 inductees this year not only understand that passengers take airport service seriously; they also work hard to surpass passenger expectations,’ she said. Since its launch in 2006, the ASQ survey has been widely regarded as the world-class project in the industry, with more than 285 participating airports currently.
