TTIA Flight Schedule Affected by Tam Mei Typhoon

Share

With the approaching of Tam Mei typhoon and consequent adjustment of flight schedules, in total 147 flights were affected from 12:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. 21 August: 66 departure were cancelled, 3 delayed, 77 arrival cancelled, and 1 delayed.

To prepare for the approaching of Tam Mei, TIAC assembled a emergency response team at 9 p.m. 20 August. And one day earlier, on 19 August, TIAC has negotiated with airport agents to examine facilities and equipment, preparing enough spare parts inventory and standby personnel for the coming typhoon. Food and beverage providers and bus companies were also asked to prepare enough food storage and overtime service for unexpected scenarios.

To reduce inconveniences caused by the typhoon to the minimum, departure buses, arranged to stop in the 4th car park of T2, are allowed to stop in the curb of the 3rd floor and 1st floor north side for passengers to get off until the departure of Tai Mei. Passengers are requested to follow the guidance of airport personnel. Those who need to enter TTIA via Wu-yang elevated high way or HSR please notice the updated road and transportation information.

And to ensure flight safety in cases of high wind speed, TTIA may have to proceed with relating safety operations or regulations. We apologize for the inconveniences. Before coming to the airport, passengers are reminded to check flights with airlines. We wish you a safe journey.
