Freeway No.2 Westbound Traffic Closed for Taoyuan International Airport Widening Construction Office said that an over-pass frame erection night work will cause the Freeway No.2 traffic westbound for Taoyuan International Airport closed. The traffic closure section is between the Airport System Interchange (sta.8k)and the Dazhu Interchange(sta.5k) on the Freeway No.2. The night work will commence at 00:00 and schedule to finish at 6:00 in the morning on Friday, August 27, 2010.

Traffic control & detour suggestion:
(1) Motorist who is on the Freeway No.1 bound for the airport: Southward motorists may exit at the Taoyuan Interchange(sta.49k) then make a detour on the local highway No.4 and the highway No.31. Northward motorists may exit at the Neili Interchange(sta.57k)then make a detour on the local road No.110 and the highway No.31.
(2) Motorist who is on the Freeway No.2 and westbound for the airport: Please exit at the Airport System Interchange(sta.8k)to connect the Freeway No.1, and make a detour as above. The detour above will just take the road users more than 10 to 15 minutes to drive. However, may all the motorists have a tension that the eastbound on the Freeway No.2 is still open to traffic without any traffic control.

We expect minimal traffic delays during the midnight due to the construction. The motorists are also expected to be aware of and be familiar with the detour. Follow the road side traffic signs set beforehand and slow down your speed. Widening Construction Office would like to thank motorists in advance for their co-operation.
